Hey, I've had this CV1 for almost 6 years, bought new and 2 days ago while playing in VR (Assetto Corsa) the screen turned black mid-lap after a 40min session. I couldn't get the Rift running properly ever since. I did a 1 or 2 hour session the day before and it was running as usual. I've tried a lot of things from all over this forum and reddit (changing ports, reseating every plug even the one on the headset, reinstalled the Oculus/Meta app completely, reinstalling the drivers through the oculus_drivers.exe with and without leaving the headset connected, restarted the computer several times, updated my GPU and CPU drivers, updated the AMD chipset, removed the cable extensions and plugged the headset cables directly in the computer, disabled the USB power supply thing)
The Meta app shows both room sensors as connected, but the USB and HDMI aren't detected (mind you sometimes the USB ends up being detected by the app for some reason, but it's just temporary, and the HDMI is always missing). In Devices and Printers the Rift is in "not specified" and mostly cycles between "connected" and "driver error", sometimes it ends up being detected as an audio device. Most times it just connects and disconnects in a loop when the USB is plugged in. In Device Manager most times it is detected as the SuperSpeed hub thing. The orange light on the headset is lit on so it has power.
The fact it happened mid-game makes me thing the headset itself or the cable is at fault, but I don't have money for another headset rn, especially if I can't sell this one, and if I understood right you can't get new cables now for this Rift, so idk what to do.

@lucac26 meta did have a quantity of cables that were refurbished. I don't know if they have any left but it's always worth raising a ticked with support and speak to them nicely and you may get lucky.
There are also CV1s on ebay and facebook marketplace that are cheaper than a sold cable.

Well for now I've had like 4 or 5 replies from what seems like bots since the troubleshooting points I keep getting are all things that I've already done and written in the original message and they keep repeating themselves
