Rift S Controller

So I was cleaning my Rift S Left Controller joystick to decrease the chance of drifting without actually touching the joystick, there might be a chemical solution inside the actual controller I'm not sure but I did the same thing to the other controller, and it's fine. The left controller however worked better after the cleaning I could select stuff without it going crazy from the joystick just barely being touched, but I don't see any white light signifying it's on and it is consistently vibrating now with batteries, and it shows as if it's not responding to the controller at all. I switched out the battery and waited 4 minutes. I've felt for any fluid in the battery socket area and I have the controller upside down for any fluid residue to possibly leak away from anything on the inside if it did indeed get inside..My question is ...is the vibrating signifying I need a new controller -.- ?
