My rift S will not recognize its display port connection no matter what I do. I have not used it in a few years and now when running the meta link setup it will only display an infinite loading circle when I plug in my USB and display port. I know it is not an issue with the display port on my pc because I normally use that display port to connect my monitor and it functions well. My graphics drivers are all the newest nvidia drivers, and all drivers on my PC are up to date.
I purchased a USB 3 powered usb hub which was recommended as a possible solution here https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/114wcgy/actual_fix_for_oculus_rift_s_usbdisplayport/ and here https://communityforums.atmeta.com/t5/Get-Help/Rift-S-owners-who-had-the-Displayport-issue-and-FIXED... . Whenever I route the Rift's USB connection through the usb hub it causes the displayport connection to momentarily flash green in the setup whenever I plug the usb connection in, but then the displayport connection quickly returns to endless loading and remains unusable.
I am even more frustrated because the Serial number that is displayed both in the meta link menu and on the inside of my rift S underneath the face visor is not recognized by the meta support page, rendering me unable to create an actual ticket.
Thank you for any help, please do not tell me to update my drivers.
