Hi Guys

Had my Rift S for a while and used often. Stopped using for a while and since trying recently, it appears to have developed a lag/stutter when moving your head or walking around. Whereas before was perfectly fine.  Tried reinstalling the relevant software, driver updates etc and cant seem to solve it.

Ultimately... the issue has not been resolved...I was offered to buya new device or a second hand hardware instead as my device was out of warranty. Sorry... im not spending more money on hardware.. especially one out of warranty device for another.

Might be the most standard answer ever, at least better than " buy a new one" ;). Have you tried other displayports (if available) and other usb ports? Check the power options in device manager to make sure windows isn't reducing power to your headset, or better yet, try a powered USB hub, seems to solve quite a lot of issues for others. Another thing is cleaning the lenses and making sure there's enough light in the room.

Again, very standard answer but I still wanted to pop in just in case there's something you haven't done, and it would be great if one of the suggestions helps!

Appreciate the suggestion. over the last 6 months I have gone through all sorts.. going right back to a fresh windows install. It shows fine on the desktop view that others can watch.. but the headset is what has the issue.

By the way, have you contacted meta about a new cable? Maybe your cable has internal damage or the connectors got dirty or something. Would be worth a shot, right?

Yea for the past 7 months nearly lol. tried a different headset... fresh installs.. the list goes on and on lol

Have you gone here? https://www.meta.com/help/support/?b=quest&d1=610943653798073&d2=5447012008747290&d3=878118329525724...

Under email us and then Oculus rift s and then accessories you can put in a request for a cable. I got an answer where they asked for more info in like a day
