Rift S Windows 11 issues with some games

Anyone else having issues with Oculus games not loading since moving to Windows 11? Everything in my library worked perfectly fine under Windows 10. Since moving to Windows 11 quit a few of the titles I've purchased refuse to run now. I select them from the library screen, I see an hourglass for about 2 seconds, and then a crash back to the library. Brass Tactics, and Brass Tactics Arena, are 2 games that simply refuse to run now. Just curious if others are seeing the same, or it's isolated to my end.

me also have an issue using updated windows 10 pro.. the library service can't run... the impact is, the oculus apps cant detect my device..

Hey there, @boskovic234. Thank you for reaching out and bringing the issue with the Oculus app is not detecting the device to our attention. Something like this can definitely take the wind out of your VR sails. and we want to help you get this figured out. We do have just a few questions for you, though.

When did this first start happening?

when i start the service, it showing like this..

my device also problem when the apps detecting the sensor (its stuck) on the Oculus Apps.

what i've done,

- change usb setting on device manager

- update latest windows and vga driver

- enable public test chanel

at the first time i bought this device from my local game store in my country, it working well... until after several month, and receiveing some windows update and oculus update, suddenly the device is not working anymore..

Have you updated your graphics card with these steps?

 

You can use Windows to manually assign which GPU is used by a specific process. This should have little to no side effects. To do so:

Close the Oculus Desktop software.

Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings.
 
Select Classic App from the drop-down menu and click Browse

Select the OculusClient.exe
(By default, this will be installed C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-client\OculusClient.exe)

Click Options > High Performance > Save
Ensure the "High Performance" option has your dedicated graphics at the top of this menu.
