Good day everyone, I've been having this annoying constant issue with my Rift S where the headset would suddenly freeze with a loud beeping sound from the speaker, followed by static and the display turning off. the LED status light would lit orange as well until connection is re-established with the headset and everything went back to normal. The only problem is, this issue is so common that it rendered VR gaming completely unplayable. This disconnecting/beeping thing kept happening every 1-2 minutes.
At first, the headset would only disconnect every hour or so. Till it gets worse. I'm assuming this will only go downhill as time goes on.
I've tried every troubleshooting steps in the oculus book, including buying a powered USB hub, reinstalling drivers, ect. The issue kept persisting.
I know this is a cable issue, but where can I get them? Ebay is sadly way too overpriced and all of them seems to be selling from the US, the wrong side of the hemisphere I'm on. So shipping cost are astronomically expensive to add insult.
I've contacted Meta support and they've asked for my details, including shipping information. So I'm pretty hopeful that they'll give me a new cable! But, I gotta ask how often do they gives you cable? if anyone has gotten replacements cable from them, feel free to share about it!
In the meantime, would you guys suggest me any steps to solve this issue? Wouldn't hurt to try!
Thanks for reading my post, hope you guys have a safe and pleasant day! 😛

Hey there @SkyDarkbomber! We know these connection issues really kill the gameplay experience and we feel you here big time! We no longer sale connection cables, so we just want to make you aware of that. We are able to offer some troubleshooting, however in the case of the issue being the cable, you've covered most of them. We can invite you to a private message to take a look at your account to explore any other possible options. I am hoping you ended up with a fix, so many other suffering from this issue including myself. I cant find any fix on the internet that works. a cable replacement is so expensive i can't justify buying a new one in the chance of it not working. any luck with yours?
