Upgraded my 1650 to a 4070 Ti Super. Now I can't get audio in either ear. It did work briefly in the left ear but steam dcs became laggy and froze. After that, not even static audio. I've tried different usb and hdmi ports, reinstalled Meta, usb and video drivers. I'm not sure what nvidia driver I had before, but now I'm using the latest, 552.22. I have all the appropriate output selection boxes ticked. From the win 11 audio settings, I can set the Rift audio as the default and see the visual indicator rise and fall when I "test" the audio, but still no sound. All volume controls are at max.
I think it's probably a software issue but I would like to rule out a hardware problem as I just spent $900 on the gpu and if it needs to go back, sooner would be better. I don't think it's the gpu as the hdmi works fine on my tv. Is there a way to test the speakers on the HMD? I know it's an old HMD, but after purchasing the gpu, I need to wait a bit before investing in a new one.

Hi, thanks.
No sound ever. Doesn't matter what I do. Just since upgrading the GPU. It worked fine last week with the old GPU. I cannot even change windows audio output settings to the Rift and no youtube video sound or anything. The Rift video works when I run a game, whether from Meta Home or SteamVR. However, if I am using Steam for OpenXR, the audio mirroring will work so I can use my bluetooth earbuds for sound from the computer (no sound in the HMD) and the game will play normally otherwise. I don't think mirroring works through the Meta OpenXR, but I'm not certain about that.
