A few days back I decided to wipe the dust off my rift and try it out for S&G’s. I was forced to use cmd prompt in order for Oculus Home to even install (bypass hotfix check + change installion drive to my SSD).
To my astonishment it installed without error, the HMD displays lit up and it has been working flawlessly. I’ve made zero changes to my PC. My Hardware and OS is identical.
This is a real head scratcher. After a year of being inoperative with the HMD orange light / black displays and a multitude of installer errors its now working.
