I ordered it 2017-04-15 And I'm under Swedish/Europe 2 year warranty. Not that I use it much right now, but is it something that one can do without sending it away, as finding all the boxes, and things would take longer then sending it in for repair/replacement, for something as small as that? (tried removing and reattaching it, but even when trying to fasten it harder, still nothing in the right headphone)
Yes I could use headphones on top of them.. but I don't have any that's made for HDMI, and my plug from the sound-card are busy running my surround so actually No i can't replace it with regular/current ecternal headphones.
I read it's a pretty common problem, so do anyone have a pretty 'common' solution for an ugly repair? I don't care if I'll have cables hanging.. I just want it to work as it should without to much hassle.
Actually not sure where to post this.. as it were intended to go as a mail to support, but the Oculus page is too messy to find the right option.. well the one you want to reach at least.

Same thing happened with mine recently. The HMD has never had any rough treatment so I'm thinking it's a design flaw as I've come across several other similar posts. I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of returning it so I'm just using my own headphones.
Well got an answer on my ticket.. and as I didn't buy it straight from Oculus.. and 'only' payed 2x the price for it in Sweden (and it's without VR hand-controllers too) They just say nope.
I'm suddenly in no hurry to get a new one.. as I actually don't care about it anymore. (why does it matter where I buy it, when it comes to hardware failures, as it still is your product?)

Mhm.. I don't want to economically burden the computer-store I bought it from, as I like them, even as the Swedish prices are a lot higher, I just sent out a question to them if they have any solution where none of us have to pay until we bleed, for a construction obviously well known to fail even more serious on the right headphone.
In the last conversation on the ticket I got a .. 'to see the supported stores click here' without a link in the 'click here' So I guess I'll walk happily through life without knowing what is a supported store or a supported region.

That were actually almost shocking.. considering how many of those customers that weren't even able to put the steering stem, the only part they had to attach themselves, in the right direction, and almost died due to the result..
Guess you really have an exclusive chain of retailers!? They are the most unreliable chain of electronics in Sweden!! No the rapping video isn't a mean joke.. it was their official commercial.
I bought it directly from the website, in Canada where about i am, no physical stores sells it, exept Best Buy Online or other Online Stores, which i decided to bought it online directly from Oculus, got to say i don't regret it now seing your problem. 😞

Looks like the swedish prices aren't much higher. It's 344 euro in the US, With your 25% sales tax that's 430 Euro and it's 449 there. So 19 euro more?
Replacement headphones are 34 euro in the US, 43 euro with tax, and it's sold for 49 in Sweden? Some of the difference might also be variations in exchange rate since the prices were set.
The Swedish 'krona' have lost most of it's worth, due to us almost being Venezuela, but without any unsellable oil to back it up. I'll wait with getting a new headphone until the winter, if I get any.
Yeah I checked 'Elgiganten' and it's 4990 SEK for the headset there now , with 2 controllers and sensors, compared to the 6900 SEK, (without controllers or an extra sensor) I payed one year ago.. .
