Right controller spins out of control

My right controller just randomly started spinning out of control, no matter what I do it wont stop. I have tried factory resetting my oculus, ive tried getting a new battery, I play in a well lit zone. No matter What I do it wont stop. The controller has no cracks and no pieces are broken off, if anyone could help it would mean a lot.

Hey there, @84nan. We don't want your controller going in circles to continue to interrupt your gameplay, so we'd love to take a further look! With you already getting an awesome head-start, we'd like to complete a couple more troubleshooting steps before gathering more details via PM.

To continue where you left off working with the device, we'd like to do the following:

  • Make sure any third party accessories are removed from the controller.
  • Make sure there are no LED lights or reflective surfaces within your play area.
  • Remove the controller battery for 30 minutes.
  • Unpair the controller from your headset.
  • Hard reboot your headset by holding the power button down for 30 seconds.
  • Repair the controller to your headset.

From there, if any issues persist, do let us know by shooting PM our way! To do so, either select our name to get to our profile page, or click here while signed in to the community. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us!

I have been having similar issues. I was able to take a video but it won’t let me send. Tried everything but still won’t fix it.

Hey there @Gyro_duck,

Could you send us a private message so we can try to help you with your controller?

Okay, thanks for explaining. You mentioned that you're playing in good lighting - has anything else changed in your play area recently?

One thing that could help is removing the battery for a long time. Could you try removing the battery and then waiting for 30 minutes before replacing it with a new one?

Nothing has changed in my play area however I have tried several different places around my house. I left my battery out of the controller for close to an hour before placing it back in earlier and it did not fix the issue.
