Robo Recall crashing

Hi,

I just bought Robo Recall from the Oculus Store, I am trying to play but it crashes every time. The game does load, I can get in the menu but when I get into the game, maybe 5 seconds in after loading, it crashes.

These are my system specs and what I did to try to fix this

Specs:

 

Intel i9 12900k
32gb DDR5 @ 6000mhz
WD Black S850 1tb m.2 drive
GeForce RTX 3080 with latest drivers
Windows 10 pro all up top date
NO anti virus software installed

 

Steps I took to try to solve this by myself:

- Opened Resource monitor to see if I had enough memory: all good
- In game changed the graphics settings to minimum ( no anti aliasing, nothing )
- Uninstalled the game and reinstalling it
- Uninstalled the game and reinstalling it on another SSD drive
- Uninstalled the Oculus software and reinstalling it
- Did a pass with CCleaner just to be sure

 

After all of that, the game still won't work.

It's not supposed affect the performance, only to fix some broken code in some games so that they work. 

@Madspecv  Maybe the case but I haven’t seen anything that confirms this.  I have just contacted Intel support and asked them.  I’ll let you know their response.

why cant the devs actually fix this issue, I tried the fix above and it didn't work, I think maybe its a windows 11 issue and they cant be assed to update the game, the reviews have hundreds of reports of crashes and refunds yet they sit there doing nothing about it....anyway that's £22 back in my pocket and out of these jokers of a dev company!

If a support anything is doing any work at all then the game crashes within a minute and before the elevator opens as reported HUNDREDS of times in the reviews lol!

I wont bother sorry....how can you ignore the sheer volume of crash report reviews in the meta store?? You guys literally blind or what?

In a nutshell, no.

 

The problem is not only with this game, but it also fixed a couple of issues I had like access to Oculus Home, or just missing content in the Oculus Home. Even more, I had lots of apps and games crashing it after applying this fix, the problems disappeared.

System variables.  Lower 2nd panel as per instructions.

This is just as relevant today as to when it was last written. Crashing each and every time for me with Quest 3 without that variable added.
