SCAMMED by Meta quest store, refuse to refund after failed delivery

Hello, I’m here to expose meta quest store after a very bad expérience with the online shop

i ordered a meta quest 3 128gb early february, was supposed to be delivred with UPS, the day of delivery I was at home but no delivery man show up and at the end of the day, I saw with surprise that on the tracking was showing as delivred « at a safe place », I was able to see where on the picture on the tracking, and this wasn’t Even my home…

so i contacted meta to explain all this who said that they will start an investigation with the carrier and stuff, 2 weeks later, they send me a mail saying « yeah we investigate bla-bla-bla and we can confirme that the delivery was made properly etc »

i was very surprise and i realy was feeling upset, i contacted UPS just after that, and this is now where it become crazy, they confirmed me that no investigation was started, and that meta never contacted them !!! I had a second confirmation by mail for proofs, so I got back to meta, who was keeping replying the same stuff « go to the police to get help » literaly… I wan’t to precise that i am à French customer, so there is law that they have to apply because they sell to a French customer, a law here for exemple say that if a delivery wan’t made properly the seller have the obligation to make contact with the carrier, an other one say that if there is an issue with the delivery, they have 30d to delivery the good properly and after that the customer can ask a refund (i already bought since an other meta quest)

so they lie, they don’t apply law but that’s not the end

I started myself an investigation with ups directly, after few days, they came back to me saying that indeed there was a mistake while delivery, and that the package was « lost in transit after failed delivery » again I have all the mails and stuff, and they sent a claim and a mail as well to meta

i came back to meta with this, and after that they Said « yeah we cannot refund you, after our investigation, it show that you claimed issue with previous orders in the past or in your area »

yes Nice try meta, i live in a house in the middle of nowwhere, i never order from meta before and i don’t think that my 80 yo neighbour are intrested in vr

this is the most crazy situation i ever saw, we are talking about Meta one of the biggest company in the world who litteraly scam peoples

to be honest i don’t realy know what to do, i started a chargeback procedure with my bank so will get my money back one day but yeah, don’t order from them be careful 

i have of course all the proof, mails, investigation result, their lies etc etc

That's been my experience as well. They just keep stalling, no resolution so far after 2 months.

Realy ? This is crazy… this is criminal, did you started an investigation by yourself with the carrier like me as well ?

I tried to return the headset to BestBuy, and they told me that they will not refund due to the item being "recalled." Meta refuses to provide a warranty replacement. They have been giving me the runaround for over 2 moths now. If I recontact their support, they say that they have "escalated this to their higher level support team" and there's nothing more they can do. So now I'm stuck with a very expensive paperweight.
