SYSTEM UX HAS STOPPED WORKING

I have just recently bought a VR meta quest 2 

and now it just keeps saying system UX has stopped working , it won’t let me click on the App Library it is like grey border ,I have factory reset it and reset my iPhone, deleted and reinstalled the meta quest app 

and it’s really frustrating don’t know what else to do 

I need help

Hi there,

We are experiencing the same issue on a few of our devices that have been updated to the

64.0.0.512.370. We tried everything above, but we are still having the same pop-up window (System UX has stopped working). Any hint before we factory reset them?

Hey @SibrinaIKEM. We see you are having issues since the system update on your headset. We do want to offer you some options to help fix the issue. We would recommend the following:

  1. Reboot your headset. Directions here
  2. Factory data reset the headset. Directions here
  3. Clear cache on headset.

How do I clear the cache if I cannot work with the UI on the headset? Is there a way to do so within mobile app or Developer Hub?

Regarding clearing the cache it should be: Settings > Storage > Select icon to delete app data (you should do this on the relevant app or apps you want).

The problem here is that the UX doesn't freeze in any app but in the firmware UI space (literally just turning the headset on and we get (System UX keeps stopping). So what cache exactly are we supposed to clear?

In this case a Factory reset should do the cleaning of the entire headset. Please let us know if after trying a factory reset, the error keeps popping up!

Factory reset is not a solution, we have countless devices. When can we expect a new firmware update to fix this?

At the moment we don't have a exact date of a new release, but if you want to keep updated you can check this article here, as once we have a new update it shall appear there.

Maybe that page should start mentioning "known issues" as well for better transparency.
