Looked at a bunch of other posts and cant solve this issue. My headset was working fine until today where i was forced to get a using a meta account. Since then all i get is a "Facebook Session Expired" error. I've uninstalled Facebook and Oculus apps and reinstalled, no change. I created a new FB account and Linked it but again when i open the Oculus Gear VR app i get that error, rebooted the device, no change, removed all FB accounts from my device (S9+) and added only the new account, no change. My old Oculus account doesn't work as i get a "No network Connection" error there. WTF is up with Meta forcing users into this crap that is rife with issues. And I cant raise a ticket because there is no support option for Gear VR. And I refuse to buy a $400 headset just on principle...My existing one worked just fine until today.

It appears that I am experiencing the same issue as everyone else logging in to the oculus app with Facebook and it’s not letting me in at all. Is there a fix to all of this?

I have installed the Gear VR software on my Samsung S9 mobile and I can't log in to oculus. I get a message saying "Your Facebook session has expired or is invalid. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling facebook and all the Gear VR, Oculus and meta apps but still get the same problem.

I have also tried logging in with Meta user name and password and get a No Network connection error. 

I can login to oculus.com with the user name and password so i know the user name and password are correct.

What do I need to do to be able to use my Gear VR headset on my phone?

Hey there Ynotggl, we hate to hear that you are unable to use your Gear VR. Has there been any change with log in attempts since the first time you attempted to log in?

No change. I still get "Your Facebook session has expired or is invalid" when trying to use facebook login and "no network" when using my meta account. I can login to facebook and meta on the phone OK so I know Facebook is working and my Meta account login and password are correct. The problem is the Oculus app.

Hello,

To use your Gear VR headset on your Samsung S9 mobile, try resetting your Facebook password and then attempt to log in again. If that doesn't work, try logging in to your Oculus account through a web browser and then linking your Facebook account. If the issue persists, reach out to Oculus support for assistance.

I have reset my facebook password and my account is linked to my facebook account. When I go to the oculus.com I am redirected to https://www.meta.com/au/quest/ and so support I end up back here. Do you know of another way to get Oculus support?

I had the same problem. Couldn't log onto oculus/meta but was logged in online.....forget Facebook meta and occulus and hold the back button until the universal menu comes up. That kills the constant you are not signed into oculus alert and as that's all I have managed to do with my s10 I now use it just for media, social media, watching films etc, general browsing and free vr content on youtube. I did ask oculus for help but was told I was incompatible and to contact samsung....I was so frustrated I tried to reboot the headset and bang suddenly I had a menu. As long as I dont touch the unlocking issue notification I can just plug my phone in and out. I even got it to charge through the outside port today. Oculus is dead, from what I have been reading Gear has partnered with Netfliix. That could be great for the 3d/360/180 vr player! I cant play any games, that's the one thing I am unhappy about. But after a day I almost sent it back suddenly it worked and I was on YouTube with 9% battery...I deleted the apps, reinstalled, deleted but no. I just do not press undock from device and I'm good for now. I'm using a G324 I bought for 10gbp on cex but as I am reading the G325 is more compatible with my S10edge+ whatever phone I have decided to swap up to the 3rd gen. Even without games its great ti watch a film alone workout distraction. I spend a lot of time in hospital on surgical wards and in bed at home so I love these device and hope to love the g325 even more! Again bought reconditioned at 12gbp when amazon have it at around 50. My current g324 was only 10gbp amazing condition with controller saving me 88gbp as Amazon list it at 98! There must be something coming. I have even seen an individual use an S22 in a Gear VR so the tech is there. Good luck, I donr usually comment but this issue drove me mad for 48 hours and I still panic if it doesnt connect right away but I had loosened the connector with all the in and out oculus not needed nonsense. I'm glad they were honest they couldn't help me  but peeved that they didn't even tell me how to access the universal menu. I had to google it. I cant find any apps, my library is empty and it wont download games or films. I'm hoping the upgrade helps that. But why after all these years is the 3rd gen half the price of the 3rd gen improved model??? I wouldn't mind but I had an S9 until march when my son dropped it so I upgraded, it's only polite.

Apologies, why is the 2md gen over twice the price of the 3rd gen? Doesnt make sense.....I'm unsure whether to upgrade or not so am keeping both until I know for sure what I can do with it. I was hoping I could answer calls but no. It's ok, I have PS4 VR since 2018
