Looked at a bunch of other posts and cant solve this issue. My headset was working fine until today where i was forced to get a using a meta account. Since then all i get is a "Facebook Session Expired" error. I've uninstalled Facebook and Oculus apps and reinstalled, no change. I created a new FB account and Linked it but again when i open the Oculus Gear VR app i get that error, rebooted the device, no change, removed all FB accounts from my device (S9+) and added only the new account, no change. My old Oculus account doesn't work as i get a "No network Connection" error there. WTF is up with Meta forcing users into this crap that is rife with issues. And I cant raise a ticket because there is no support option for Gear VR. And I refuse to buy a $400 headset just on principle...My existing one worked just fine until today.

I get into the oculus app for the samsung gear vr and when i try to hit continue with facebook it says that the session expiried or its invalid idk what do to and when I get in and try tk verify my account it says unsupported post request can someone help me

 i recently bought new gear vr and  it's totally rubbish now. i have searched all forum and i pmed the admin @

 

. So far, i didn't find a solution for my login problem. i cannot do anything without login to Oculus App. Who suggest any solution to me from here?

Just got one from eBay for $20 to use with my Samsung S9+.  Unfortunately, I get the same "Facebook session expired". Also says I have wrong password when trying to login manually..

I tried to uninstall Facebook app but my phone won't let me. Guess it is considered "essential bloatware".. 

I am going to return it in eBay unless someone has some miracle solution? I just want to watch 3D videos from YouTube. Not interested in games or anything else. My previous VR headset was a Google Daydream. That also had compatibility problems with my S9+. The controller would not work, but at least YouTube worked. With this Gear VR, nothing works. It just shows the cool 3D room asking me to log in..

Had the exact same problem. When you put it on hold the back button for 30 seconds. It will ping and take you to the universal menu. Then you can sign into YouTube google, amazon prime etc and it works. This is how I use mine on my s10+

It's not useless! Press the back button  for 30 seconds til It pings and it takes you to the universal menu where you can sign in online and watch all the media you like. No games but the screen is amazing. This is how I use mine in my s10+ ignore cant sign in oculus and enjoy yourself

Log into the universal menu and ignore the oculus sign in. Press the back button for 30 seconds til it pings. I do this and mine is a great device. I almost sold mine on but frustrated I tried to reboot and found this universal menu. Give it a try

I tried pressing the back button on the controller for 30+ seconds on the oculus sign-in page and nothing happens. Should I pressing it on some other page?
