Looked at a bunch of other posts and cant solve this issue. My headset was working fine until today where i was forced to get a using a meta account. Since then all i get is a "Facebook Session Expired" error. I've uninstalled Facebook and Oculus apps and reinstalled, no change. I created a new FB account and Linked it but again when i open the Oculus Gear VR app i get that error, rebooted the device, no change, removed all FB accounts from my device (S9+) and added only the new account, no change. My old Oculus account doesn't work as i get a "No network Connection" error there. WTF is up with Meta forcing users into this crap that is rife with issues. And I cant raise a ticket because there is no support option for Gear VR. And I refuse to buy a $400 headset just on principle...My existing one worked just fine until today.

But so many users have reported this problem. And it’s been well over a year and nothing? If they aren’t going to fix it just say so but for the engineers to have nothing after all of this time is unheard of.

After communicating with Meta Support we tried everything possible according to Meta. The Oculus app is no longer compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 (Android 😎 phone. The Gear VR headset is no longer supported by Meta therefore Oculus app no longer compatible with phone.

Yeah I think that's bs on @MetaQuestSupport end of things. This has been deliberately done by Meta.

Hi Meta.
Could you please be transparent about why solving the “can’t login” to Samsung Gear Vr has not been fixed after 18months+?
There are pages and pages of users describing the same problem in this very forum.
All that users have to go by is the same generic response about pm-ing support with their details and that you haven’t heard back from the engineers.
@MetaQuestSupport , has the support for the Gear Vr stopped? Yes or No?
If not, what is the problem that the engineers cannot workout?

Stop this linking accounts and fix the issue. Make the user the priority versus what Meta wants. Make it work for the user, reliably, and them make it work in a way that works for Meta.

How about listing a serious of possible fixes--with simple step by step instructions with no jargon--in priority order for everyone to see so they can try themselves versus having to reach out and wait for a response.
