Looked at a bunch of other posts and cant solve this issue. My headset was working fine until today where i was forced to get a using a meta account. Since then all i get is a "Facebook Session Expired" error. I've uninstalled Facebook and Oculus apps and reinstalled, no change. I created a new FB account and Linked it but again when i open the Oculus Gear VR app i get that error, rebooted the device, no change, removed all FB accounts from my device (S9+) and added only the new account, no change. My old Oculus account doesn't work as i get a "No network Connection" error there. WTF is up with Meta forcing users into this crap that is rife with issues. And I cant raise a ticket because there is no support option for Gear VR. And I refuse to buy a $400 headset just on principle...My existing one worked just fine until today.

Hello and have a nice day, to all members of the community.
Please allow me to suggest you a new subject to discuss (the topic is the same one you read in the title)
Since the SAMSUNG producer has discontinued the development and support for his VR devices, we can help each other in this forum.
I am curious to hear if somebody is still using the Samsung Gear VR and can share with us the following pieces of information: 1-GEAR VR NAME- examples: "Samsung Gear VR R323" ; "Samsung Gear VR R325" etc.
2- PHONE TYPE- examples: " Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S8... " etc.
3-ANDROID VERSION;
4-OCULUS version.
5-Any other applications related to the well functioning of the GEAR VR device that you use now.
All those information will help the community to search, download and install the proper pack in order to make their Samsung Gear VR.
Any other suggestions and ideas are well appreciated and I want to thank you all for your time and understanding.

Let's hope there are some really enthusiastic specialists that will work to find a solution in a short time. We hope ASP.
But let's nod delude ourselves with useless hopes.
If the problem remains as it is today, somebody must take responsibility and say it now.

Hi, this is my info and issue:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S8
Gear Vr Name: SAMSUNG GEAR Vr with Controller
Android Version: 9
Oculus Version: oculus gear vr
I keep getting the same message every time I try to log in: "Facebook session expired." I have try almost everything I could, from reinstalling the oculus app and Facebook app to creating a new fb account and meta account. Nothing seems to work. It seems to me that the app is clashing with the fb app, why? I have no clue. I sent a private message and email to oculus support, if they reply with a solution that works, I'll message here again.

Samsung Galaxy S8+ SM-G955FD
Android version 8.0.0
Gear Vr Services 3.2.04.10
Gear Vr. System 3.2.03.3
Oculus 9.0.0.257.473
Samsung Gear VR SM-R325 with controller - after pairing the 2 devices all the software was installed automatically.
Oculus app. can not connect with Facebook, and the error message "Facebook session expired or invalid"-Nobody can offer a solution to this issue until now.
I suggest that PrintScreens from the phone menu "applications" can be easily taken instead of writing manually the application versions when reporting the problems.
It will be a nice contribution from anybody who can post and send us a "NORMAL AND WORKING CONFIGURATION" if there are any.
It's not a secret that we can find web pages where we can free download the older versions of OCULUS and other apps.
If there are any other so-called "crazy ideas" or suggestions that you have do not hesitate to share with us.
Thank you in advance.

I got the following from support which wasn't real helpful as the help article in the link suggests you login into your app or headset and log the bug report!!!! the point being I can't login!!! FFS.
"Thank you for getting back to us! It looks like you may be experiencing a bug. This was not intended by design, so we recommend you submit a bug report with this link. It should be fixed by our engineers. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns in the future. We hope you have a great day! "

the link the support gave you is not for Gear VR, it is marked as "Report a bug on Meta Quest 2 and Rift S". Let's see if the support comes through in the PMs.

this gets even worse.
original issue: "No network connection" error when using old Oculus account. Creating a new Oculus account will still produce "No network connection" error.
Solution 1: Create a new Facebook account and use it to log into Gear VR. the log in sequence is ok until it gets to the part when it asks to create a new Oculus account, if you agree you will get an error saying that Oculus accounts can no longer be created and advising you to go to Oculus.com to create an account.
Soution2: Create a new facebook account, go to Oculus.com and create meta account associated with new facebook account, so far so good. Try to log in to GearVR with the new facebook account and receive a new error: " Facebook session expired". Logging in and out of facebook app does not help, the error persists and does not allow you to log in into GearVR.
Seems like meta has blocked all and every possible way to log into our expensive headset.
Support? Ideas?

I fixed the login error by myself, the Facebook account you use must be connected to meta and oculus, you already know this, but it is not enough, you must also connect/set the horizon profile/account
