Samsung gear vr update Oculus Media Plugin error

I can not download vr app because its show "network error occured"  Why ???

Android 9 Galaxy S9 back up and running. I did it slightly diferent. canceled the looping installation and rebooted the phone, opened the oculus app and loged in, it then said it needed to do a couple of updates and wanted to do oculus media plugin and oculus core mobile services, copied the 2 apk files onto my phone and installed them, when i went back to the app both items had blue ticks so after clicking install the vr started working again

Thanks for the answer mate. Then i know cant fix it like you did. But does anyone know if I can buy some other VR goggles that might work with Samsung S10? Or is it locked with the gear vr system? /Thanks

And need it tomorrow to show our last 360 vr film to our client...if you can fix it. Working with Samsung gear vr S9

Have both my headsets back up and running but they will be going onto ebay. found a quest 2 with no charger, straps or controllers for £45 on ebay so will see what happens over the next week.

Same issue..  I don't need an update, eliminate the update.  I mean, 0.0 mb isn't an update anyway.  This prevents the entire thing from working.  That's not how an update should work.

Question:  I assume step one is when the phone is in the glasses.  Do I then take it out to install Oculus Media Plugin?

I also found this solution to work, but it is only temporary, the moment you reboot your phone or the app checks for updates you are back stranded.
