there is clearly a desire from meta to kill the GearVR because they are doing absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

So 'ere we go again...

This time the app permanently crashes with the message: "oculus has stoped"  and "open app again".

And I'm not the only one:

Just for the case, you want to know how to solve this problem.

The only solution that worked for me, was:

1. reset to the factory settings (don't forget to save somewhere your data an passwords)

2. Install everything again -> https://gearvr.net/setup

Note 1. I had to install some APKs again and again until everything were green and without "(0Mb)"

Note 2. Don't forget to install NetGuard and block the services

Note 3. Donate some coins to gearvr.net

I'm having a little bit more of a conspiratorial take on it currently...

...in desperation, I have humored the thought of just rebuying the Quest 3 version of apps, games and experiences that have been compromised by this gross negligence (and caved on Wander because I absolutely need Wander in my life).

The consistent observation I've made is that just about everything I bought on GearVR/Oculus Go costs more on Quest 3. On GearVR/Go games were like a dollar... five dollars... ten was a high price and it seldom got beyond that. Quest? Most even semi appealing things are thirty or forty bucks... if we get real lucky we might find a half decent app, game or experience for ten or fifteen dollars. The same thing I bought for $0.99-$4.99 is almost always at least $14.99 to get on Quest.

I'm thinking what's really going on here is that they realized they gave us too much for too little and just wanna... erase that.

Meta keeps breaking our gear. This time by stopping the app with the message: "oculus has stoped"  and "open app again".

The solution is to disable the "meta app manager" in the android settings -> apps. This helps.

This solution found this good guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/GearVR/comments/1erxkpv/comment/lj10g1o/
