Screen flickering when plugged in

Snayby204

Hi, my Oculus quest 2 has been sitting for a few months in the box completely protected, it has never been dropped or damaged. I recently went to turn it on and nothing happened, so I than went to plug it in and the side indicator light didn’t turn on after about 10 minutes charging. I finally go and look at the screen and every few seconds the screen shows the oculus emblem and than abruptly turns black again and holding the power button does nothing. I have switched chords and outlets multiple times and nothing is changing.

Same here. The charging light isn't on and it continues to flash the oculus logo but won't do anything else. I've tried the button pressing, switching cords, and switching bricks and absolutely nothing. It's been "charging" for 2 and a half hours now...

I have this exact same problem. When I plug in the power cord the oculus O shows up, so I know the screen is good, then it shuts off. It does this repeatedly until I unplug it. I never get any indicating light that the battery is charging either, it stays off entirely.

The exact same thing has happened to me. Did you find a solution?

Hello @TheGreenHeaven, we know how tricky this situation may be but we will gladly dive into this issue and take a look!

We'd like to suggest trying the steps below to see if this improves your issue:

  1. Attempt to charge the headset for 2 hours.
  2. Try a different Cable/Charger if possible.
  3. How are you charging the device?
  4. Are you using a facial interface accessory? If so, please attempt to charge the headset again without the facial interface accessory. Some facial interfaces may block the proximity sensor which can impact the power of the headset.
  5. Try charging from a different Source (another PC or different wall outlet).
  6. See if the headset will load the boot screen and then exit out:
    1. Hold the power and volume (-) button on the headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads
    2. Exit and reboot the headset
    3. Reboot the headset if possible
    4. Factory reset

If those troubleshooting steps did not help your issue, we would suggest to reach out to us here, we'll be able to assist you with this accordingly!

Thank you for the advice. I changed wall outlet and my charging cable and it started to charge instantly!
