Secondary profiles completely borked

Has anyone encountered issues with secondary profiles in Meta Quest 2?

When switching profiles the main menu may not load and the device needs to be power cycled.

Secondary profiles show an empty menu "handle" (the white bar that you can grab to move the main menu). This also appears inside apps and it also shows the controller overlays.

Also noticed:

Seamless multitasking is on despite it being off in the settings.

The main account is a developer account.

 

Already tried removing and re-adding profiles and factory reset.

Hello,
Since installing version 74, I've been having a problem where the secondary profile jumps to the main profile screen, and I have to switch profiles and then select the secondary profile again. If I then start and close an app, it randomly jumps back to the main profile environment, and I have to repeat the whole process. Does anyone else have this problem?

V74 seems buggy in many ways for the secondary accounts on the headset.

When I am in a game on the secondary account and open the dasboard with the Meta button, the game will crash when i try to close the dashboard again.

I'm back to my home then and now I can't bring bring up the dasboard,.... pressing any buttons does nothing.

I can't even bring up the pop up to restart by pressing the power button.

I have to turn the headset off completely and then turn it back on.

I sent a bug report, both of you should do that too.

The exact same thing is happening to me with my secondary account! It’s super frustrating. Sometimes, restarting my headset doesn’t work the first time, and I have to do it twice to get it to work. The moment I exit a game, it sends me to the home screen, and I can’t bring back the dashboard either. I’ve also submitted a bug report.

As other users have highlighted, this may have became an issue with V74 and we'd love if you could submit a bug report to bring this to our engineers' attention and help resolve the issue.

 

Report a bug from the Meta Horizon mobile app

  1. On your phone, open the Meta Horizon app.
  2. Tap Menu at the top of your Horizon Feed.
  3. Scroll down to Support, then tap Report an issue.
  4. Tap Report a problem, then type an explanation where prompted.
  5. Tap Send in the top right.

Note: When you report a bug, information about your device, account and the apps that you're currently running will be automatically included in this report. You're also able to choose to include complete logs and diagnostics, such as user activity logs, network logs and crash reports associated with your device. These may contain details that help us better understand and fix issues.

 

Report a bug from your headset

  1. Press Meta button/ Oculus button on your right Touch controller to pull up your universal menu.
  2. Hover over the clock on the left-hand side of the universal menu. When Quick settings appears, select it to open the Quick settings panel.
  3. Select Report problem.
  4. Select Include or Don't include to add complete logs and diagnostics.
  5. Follow the instructions to submit your report.

You can also quickly press the Meta button/ Oculus button on your right Touch controller five times in a row to open the bug report tool.
