Sensor not detected and hardware issue pop up

i have had a nightmare for 2 days trying to get the rift to work but I've finally given up 😕 I'm a brand new user and in the set up stage everything is fine until it comes to the sensor part after pairing the Xbox remote and I am getting a hardware pop up and then my sensor is saying it's not being detected.
I have tried to uninstall, update drivers etc, find fixes online but none work! Can someone help as my computer is compatible its brand new just for this VR but wish I never bothered now after reading so many horror stories.

Bit of an update, if I plug the sensor into USB 2.0 then it picks it up but still doesn't connect and then when I place it into USB 3.0 then it states the sensor isn't working properly 😕

Just double check you've taken the sticky plastic off the sensor (I didn't) but if this has been giving you problems then I'd contact support asap. Where did you buy the rift and pc mate ? Also check all cables are pushed in firmly on the headset.

I bought them from Currys and yes took the plastic off the sensor and everything is pushed in, it seems to be an issue with the sensor or the USB's there's loads of similar issues on the net but no resolution 😞

4th or 5th post from the end. Try that. Also where do you live ? Not stalking you but if you live near London I might be able to help ?
