I’m trying to set up the meta quest 2 for my son. I’m instructed to enter my “work” email. I opened up an account but it’s for personal use not business. I seen online that many, many people have had the same issue. Can someone please provide the instructions on how to set this up for personal use
Hi @nightcrawler14.2024! We see you're being faced with entering a work email when trying to set up your son's Meta Quest 2. We appreciate you sharing your situation and would love to help. With that said, we'd like for you to try the following:
Try using a PC or laptop instead of your phone when prompted to enter "meta.com/device". If unable to use a PC or laptop, try using a different browser on your phone
Try logging in with the Facebook option instead of email. Make sure you're logged into your Facebook account before
Please keep in mind that the creation or use of any Meta account by a person under the age of 10 is a violation of the Meta Terms of Service. A customer aged 10-12 years (or 10-13 years if in South Korea, Spain, or Quebec) must have their parent or guardian create a Parent-Managed Account for them to access Meta Quest 2 and 3 devices.
