Setup Two-Factor Authentication Not sending code

Hi,

I am attempting to setup Two-Factor Authentication so I can access features of the develop dashboard however when adding my phone number I am never sent a code. I have tried resend code, trying a few days later, waiting extra time to recieve a code but I never get one. The phone number is the correct one.

We know how much of an inconvenience this can be and would like nothing more than to help get this resolved for you. Luckily if you are unable receive an SMS from us to set up Two-Factor Authentication, you can always add a credit card as an alternative to verify your developer account! Took the route of CC to verify 2FA which worked, as one more attempt at phone didn't work.

We're glad to hear your credit card worked! We still want to provide a few more suggestions that may help with getting the 2-factor authentication code to go to your phone. Please double-check to make sure you don't have SMS blocked in your settings. Let us know if it is disabled, so we can provide further troubleshooting steps if needed!

Hello, I have the same problem but for me I can't add a CC, right after I registered all the infos, my CC don't show up. So what can I do ?

Please try the following steps:

  • Try another web browser.
  • Clear the cache, cookies, and browsing history of your preferred browser and try again.
  • Try another device.
    • For example, a desktop (website and Oculus Home PC app), mobile device, or inside the headset.
  • Restart your network device and the device you're using to add the payment method.
  • Try different combinations of the area or zip code.
  • Try another network connection.
  • Make sure that your country is on the list of supported countries.
  • Contact your financial institution about the payment method you're using to make sure there are no issues on their end.
  • Try another payment method.

Hi, I have the same issue. I'm logged into my account on my iPhone, but that's it. I can't change any settings or add different authentication method. So if I want to log in on my computer, or on any other device, I can't. I tried to restart everything, even tried to use VPN and be in Miami or Canary Islands for a bit to receive the SMS code, but nothing worked. I'm losing my mind as I need my account to manage our company's Facebook & Messenger, but nothing seems to work. I also asked my mobile network provider if there's chance I have these messages blocked somehow, but no. I also did not set up any authentication app, so I have no codes. Instagram, on the other hand, gives me way more options how to authenticate. Screenshots included, do you think you have a solution for this?

 

Thank you (in advance), I'm going insane from this. It happened when I did Community Managament for a music festival and replying to all the messages on the phone was...meh 😄

Hello @nikolaforst. We noticed you are also having some issues with the 2FA, and we know how important it is to be able to get back into your account since you use it for work purposes. We just wanted to ask: is this 2FA for Facebook or for your meta account? This way, we can point you in the right direction and help you get an answer as fast as possible.

 

If it's for a Facebook account, then we suggest reaching out to the Facebook help center, but if it's for a meta account, we can definitely look into this for you. We will just need you to send us a PM so we can collect some account authentication from you.
