I've just received a Quest 2 from my brother and I'm noticing a few issues when trying to play with friends. These issues include:
Not being able to join a party / Missing "People" tab
Games (Gym Class, Poker VR, ETC.) not showing when searching in store
1. When trying to play with one of my friends, they invited me to a call and told me to click the "two people" icon on the bottom that said "People" to accept the call. The "two people" icon on the bottom for me is an "Events" tab that says nothing about friends or calls. I'm told in the call notification to click the button on the right controller to see more options but I'm met with nothing. (My friend has the same Quest 2 as I do)
2. When trying to install a few free games such as Gym Class and Poker VR, I searched them in the "Store" tab and could not find the games I was looking for. I tried to click install on the meta.com website but received a message telling me the install was queued but the games never showed in my library. My friend can search these games and download them from the store app in the Quest, whereas I cannot. (My friend has the same Quest 2 as I do)
You may have the same Quest as your friend, but when you play your Quest linked to pc - i guess, that's what you are doing -, you don't have the standalone features of the Quest, such as joining parties.
People tab was removed from pcvr a few years ago......... I guess pcvr player have no social life and don't need that🙃
Also, gym class and Poker VR are games for the Quest, they are not available in the pc store.
So, if you want to join parties, calls etc. just unlink your Quest from pc and you can do that and will have the same features as your friend.
About the games:
Look in the Quest store for gym class and poker stars and you can install them to your headset.
