Slow performance on Windows and Mac m2

Hello, i am the happy owner of a Quest 3 i would love to use for work and games on Remote desktop.
I know there is Virtuel Desktop & Immersed, but love the Meta horizon app because it is just easyer for me to not config the screens everytime i open up the app.
My problem is that i have very slow performance when i am using ether my Dell XPS 13 plus, my Desktop with I7 CPU,. gtx 1080 and 128gb ram, or if i use my Macbook air m2 / Macbook pro M3. I can´t see videos or play any games, it will lag so much.
But i also have an older Macbook pro 13 from 2015 with an intel CPU, when i use this it all works perfectly. i can even stream to my desktop and play games with that and there is no latency or anything.
I wonder why it is working so good on the oldest machine i have, but soo poorly with the newer one, and is there a fix?

It is Meta Workrooms, so I can only use wireless, it is also working perfectly on Mac both the old and new one. So just the windows versions that is not working the same. I have ordered the new Surface Laptop 7 with the Snapdragon elite chip on it, hoping it will deliver the same performance on the Quest as the Mac does

Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us on this! We want all of our users to be able to enjoy VR to the fullest. We're happy to provide what information we can for you on this. The system requirements. It's genuinely surprising that the one working properly is your older Macbook pro, because Mac isn't supported software, so we can't guarantee it will work. For the Dell XPS, we have a few suggestions here.

  • Make sure your GTX 1080 driver is fully up to date.
  • Make sure your Windows OS (should be win 10 or 11) is fully up to date
  • Make sure your oculus software on your Dell is updated.
  • Make sure your using a USB 2.0 plug in (should be a blue plug in)

This should make sure everything is ready for top performance. Please let us know if these steps help!

It is all up to date.
I actually just got the Mac version on my MacBook Air M2. I couldn't get the sound working ether, it just needed a restart and now the lag is gone. I can game and see YouTube at the same time on wifi without any problems. it is now only the Windows machines that is slow. Can´t even watch a Youtube on these

As you using a cable to connect your device or Air Link?
