Small Window in Black that does not disappear

Anonymous
Not applicable

Well a new problem, add and continue, when I start Oculus Home Pc and when I enter the Store in the long taskbar, I get a black rectangular window that I cannot eliminate in any way, I have uninstalled the application, I have restored the glasses to factory, nothing has solved the annoying black window. The truth is I don't know what happened to make this window come out, besides that window disables the one that can enter the Store from the menu on the left of the general screen.
If someone can give me a hand I would appreciate it.
Thanks-

Hey there! We understand how this can be quite frustrating and can ruin your gameplay. If you haven't already, please check that there isn't a pop-up on your PC while the black box appears on your headset. Another option that we would like you to try is to repair your Oculus PC app, which we will link to here on how to do so. If these options do not help, please go ahead and hit us up here on our support site, and please make sure to include all the information regarding your issue. Thanks! We hope you find this information useful.

What you say has not solved the problem of the popup, as you can see in the video it appears when you click on the Store icon. Yesterday I did a complete uninstall of Oculus Pc Home, even deleting all the User files in AppData, the only question is if there are more temporary files that I could not remove, since despite all this error it survives everything I do.

Hey there! We understand how this can be frustrating. It looks like we might have to collect some logs, so in order for us to help you further, can you please go ahead and hit us up here on our support site? Please make sure to include all the information regarding your issue. Thanks! We hope to hear from you again!

I posted about this exact same problem a couple of weeks ago and received zero replies from support.

The only way I found to get rid of the rectangle is to quit/disable Link and go back into. Visit the Store on the PC app and not the headset.

Yes, I know that solution, the problem that when pressing the Store tab, the **bleep** box appears again.

Well I just send an email to support describing the problem along with a couple screen shots and oculus log. Let's see if that gets the ball rolling.

Same issue. back and forth with support with no solution for the past couple weeks. I'm not quick to try their advice simply because I'm not on the computer much. Tried the complete uninstall today including deleting all oculus folders they told me to and no change. I use mainly the Rift S but the problem is the same with airlink over my Quest 2 so I don't think it's a Quest 2 issue. I have seen others with this problem on other forums as well. Some claim it fixed itself after a software update but I'm on the latest software/drivers/windows updates.

Black box in Oculus VR when pressing Oculus store... This is how I got it fixed in windows 10

Go to Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics Settings (way at the bottom). Under "Graphics performance preference" -> "Choose an app to set preference" -> "Desktop app". Click "Browse" and select:

C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\OVRServer_x64.exe

Click "Add". Select "Options" and set it to "Power saving", and click "Save".

It is recommended to reboot your PC after making these changes.

And also let me know if it fixed the problem for u....👍🏻
