I still use an Oculus Go for watching Youtube content. However the latest Meta Horizon app appears to have an issue. I went to set up an unlock pattern for my Go (the app is required to do this) but the only option under the Go settings with the app is to set up a passcode. If I set up a passcode, my Go then prompts me for an unlock pattern and so I am forced to factory reset my Go. Can you please fix this? Or is there any workaround? Thank you!
Yes, I have been trying that with android emulators without success (I use an iPhone). Looks like I might need to pick up an old Android phone for this purpose. Thanks for reaching out, much appreciated!
Ok, so I went on a quest (pun intended). The older apps installed fine in Bliss OS for PC (Android for PC basically and available as a live bootable USB). I tried so many versions of the Meta / Oculus app and the one that worked for me was version 199-0-0-3-101 apk. I was finally able to set an unlock pattern for my Go! It does seem to require a full power off to lock my Go though but I can live with that.
@joe.b.7 do you need the headset to be locked? It seems like a bit of trouble where I'd be inclined to do away with the unlock codes altogether and leave it unlocked.
