In many games, when I pressed 'O' button (or xbox controller home button) to enter Oculus Dash, there are very high chances to cause my PC crash/freeze. The game image in Rift freezes as soon as the 'O' button is pressed (with a sandglass icon at bottom right) and the Oculus Dash is not shown. At desktop the mouse cursor can be moved at first, and then the whole system is frozen. I have to press hard rest every time to get the PC back to work. I don't have any other problem to use Rift at all , all games runs smoothly, but this freeze issue is really annoy. I've tried to clean re-installed Nvidia and Intel graphic drivers but it seems no help.
I followed the instruction from Oculus support, the the issue solved. For anyone who have the same issue:
As an antivirus may cause issues, if you have one make sure that yours is up to date and try adding Oculus as a trusted program and temporarily disabling real-time scanning. Information on antiviruses can be found by clicking here.
Make sure that you Rift HDMI is connected to your dedicated graphics card.
Can you try running the repair option from the OculusSetup.exe? If you need the file again you can get it by clicking here.
