When I use Oculus app to upload spatial video from my IPhone 15 pro all the videos are choppy. They seem to jitter every 2-3 seconds.
However, if I upload the same videos to the quest 2 using the file browser and using another 3d app the playback is fine.
But I'd like to get the spatial files working right if possible straight from the iphone to the quest 2 if possible without having to use my PC to upload the files to another app.

Hi there, @Joeydee81! We were scrolling by and heard you were having some issues with uploading your Spatial Videos. We know how fun this feature can be, and we'd be glad to lend a hand!
Below, we've listed a few questions to gain a better idea of what could be going on:
Please let us know if you've attempted any additional troubleshooting, and we'll gather the best next steps!

Yes to everything. I just got my phone in today, app was new, restarted wifi. Tried short clips and long clips with no luck. Everything uploads fine from my phone to the quest 2.
I tested new videos on another quest 2 movie app and it works fine. Smooth with zero problems.

Thanks for following up with that additional information! Since everything is uploading properly from your phone to your Meta Quest 2, we'd like to get more clarification on the steps and apps you're using that cause the videos to be choppy.
Are you trying to upload your videos to, or from, a different location than what is outlined in our support article, "Spatial Video on Meta Quest"?

1. I record spatial video on my iphone.
2. Go to Quest IOS app, and click upload from gallery.
That's all I do. I'm not uploading it from any different place. No web hosting,etc.. Record on iphone, upload from your app.The only 2 steps I do.
I just reset everything again and no luck. They are still playing fine in other apps, but the Files app is still extremely choppy. I really have no idea what else to do since I'm literally only doing those 2 steps mentioned above.

Thanks for clarifying that for us. First, we ask that you submit a bug report via the steps we have outlined here so the developers can try to replicate the issue that you are seeing .
Once that is done, would you also confirm the specific file type/extension you're uploading so we can consult with our specialists and see if there is anything we can recommend in the meantime.

I am not sure what file format is used by the IOS Oculus app. I just upload straight from the iphone after recording.
But when I export the spatial videos from my iphone so that I can upload them to another 3d player on the Quest 2 the iphone exports them as .mov file format. Not the MV-HEVC spatial video format. But the videos are still in 3d.
Is there a conversion process going on when the Oculus app is uploading the spatial video? Maybe there is a bug going on when that happens.

Thank you for getting back to us, @Joeydee81. We do not have a definite answer to the issue about the file formatting or how that might impact the quality. Our team has recently gotten similar reports from other users, and some are reporting that updating their iOS software to the newest version helps out. Along with making sure their app has also been recently updated, if possible, can you check that your apps and iOS are up-to-date in terms of versions?

I just did the latest update on the iPhone 15 pro and Oculus app now.
Quest 2, IPhone 15 pro, Oculus app are now on all the latest updates and I'm still having the choppy video problem. Took some new video to test it out and no luck.
Also, I did see that the video format the IPhone uploads from the Oculus app is .MOV .
