I notice there i a lot of discussion about the spud files. And i am one of those that delete my spud files when the black in my Rift starts to get the green grainy patterns. I know im not supposed to do this, but still.
My question is, do we get the green in the Rift due to messed up spud files (not working as intended). Or are we supposed to get green and ugly?
Would be nice to get some official explaining on this. So, Oculus. Are we supposed to have the green ugly in our Rifts?
I'm two weeks into my second rift with a clean install and now do not have any spud files in the folder. I haven't deleted them and do not have a boot script to do it, I simply don't have them (yet). I am curious what causes their creation or if Oculus did something with an update. Perhaps I haven't clocked enough time on the unit yet.
