Recently if I shut down my meta quest 3 it always defaults to horizon worlds on restart. It never used to do this. Is there any way to boot to a MR view with my library view instead. It's really annoying because I have to get my controllers to quit Horizon to use the fitness app I bought it for that doesn't need the controllers.

Hi there,
Thanks for posting in our forum. We can see you're wanting to stop your device from automatically booting up Worlds after a restart, we'll see what we can do! So there may not be a way to start up directly to your library view, but you should be able to prevent Worlds from automatically starting up by changing your privacy settings, please see below:

I have a similar problem as you but not on every restart. I always power off my Q3 after using never allow it to sleep. On powering I get the choose profile logon screen whilst in passthru (as I don't use environments) with tracking working just fine. Select my profile then sometimes I end up in environments mode with black screen and i can only see the white outline of the Meta Central portal to my left with the text above it. I can teleport \ change direction around in the darkness with the portal still visible changing position. Pressing the Meta button does nothing. I have to press the power button then press it again and choose my profile again and its back to normal. This is a recent issue since V76 and if my controllers don't wake up its a double screen off and on again.
Meta take away (achivements, move and what ever else next) but one thing is for sure they love to keep them bugs.

If none of these steps are successful in fixing the black screen issue, then we'd recommend going to our Report a bug on Meta Quest page and fill out a report for our engineering team to see and look into possible fixes to get rid of this bug.

Similar problem to above. Every bootup goes to black screen with a Worlds icon off to the left and a clickable "go". I HAVE to click this and run then exit worlds to get to my normal start platform.
Tried hard reboot. No change. Tried blocking Worlds. Just makes me enter the passcode or cancels back to Worlds as the only option.
Why is Worlds runnings at startup? Why can't I uninstall it? Why is it even there in the first place? Feel like my Quest has been hijacked...

Ok here is a video I've recorded of the bug I am getting. This bug seems to be more or less on every boot up now.

Just pressing the power button to switch off the screen and pressing again to turn screen back on sorts it.
Obviously seeing as @Jellonz has exacly the same issue this is a BUG with the latest update. You can now see the bug in the video no DM's required. Add this to the list of BUG fixes please.

Yep, @HoliamRoberts fault is identical to mine, except mine doesn't rectify by turning the screen off and on. The only way I can get to my old home screen is to run Worlds then exit it.
Really annoying that an unwanted, unrequested, and un-uninstallable piece of software is causing this. Honestly, the bug aside, this forced installation reminds me of ransomware from back in the day. Not good...

Sorry, that didn't have any effect. It seems all the other replies in this thread have described my issue far better than I have. I shall do as someone else suggested and submit it as a bug report as it appears it only started after an update. Thanks for trying though
