Brand new to quest.  Ended up with a used headset.   Turned it on and all it does is show a headset with a plug, then it animated plugging it in, then the headset spins and shows the charging light.   When it pairs with the Meta App, the app shows it has 29% battery left…  the controller buttons do nothing, as did a factory reset.   Anybody???

Hello hello @Malinows, welcome to VR. We are so excited to have you join this marvelous experience! We understand that having your controller not input any button commands can hinder your VR experience, and we would love to do all that we can to address it for you!

 

So that we can dive into this, can you please review the following:

  • When pairing the headset to the mobile app, were you able to pair the controllers?
  • Have you tried to charge the headset to full battery?
  • Have you put in new batteries for the controller?
  • If the controller has its own battery from when you got it, can you please take them out for 15 minutes to reset the firmware, then add in new batteries?
  • Where did you purchase your headset from?
