Hello,
I have a Quest 2 and a gaming PC which is VR ready to go.
I installed the Oculus app and setup the Quest headset. That all went well.
I installed Steam and then Steam VR that all went well.
The Oculus has beens set to allow unknown sources through the Oculus app.
I open the Oculus app, and agree to the file access and enable the link. The headset wakes up and I see the white room.
Next I load Steam, and then open Steam VR. The Steam VR room appears, but on the wall it tells me I don't have any apps to use. I have a few VR apps I have purchased in Steam.
If I try and launch the game from the PC screen it plays in the headset but not in VR.
Please can someone help me as its driving me mad. Is there anything I need to turn on? Why is Steam VR not seeing my VR games, one being Resident Evil 7.
Thank you in advance.

Are the games you are trying to play natively VR? RE7 VR is, I believe a mod so SteamVR doesn't automatically know about it.

Yep, the steam version of Resident Evil 7 doesn't have VR support built in. Apparently the VR mod for it is here: https://github.com/praydog/REFramework
I haven't tried it though, so use caution, I just googled for it.

Thank you for your replies... I will check again on RE...but I think you could be right. I'll confirm I have a real VR game.
Cheers

Resident Evil games with native VR support are only on Playstation VR and Playstation VR 2. Sony purchased exclusive VR right from Capcom. Not sure if this is a lifetime exclusive deL or not.
Praydog mods are said to work, but there is a lot of tweaks and such. When I did RE7 last year, I was having some bad micro stutter issues and a weird theatrical view instead of true VR view. The last issue was probably my own fault. Resident evil 4 remake mod for steam version I heard isnt totally 100% yet.

Resident Evil 4 VR has been on the Quest 2 since 2021. Playstations didn't get it until 2 years later.
