I bought a Quest 3 last week and finally got Quest LInk working, but there is no sound, this is what I did trying to fix it.
1. Enroll PTC in both Quest Link and Meta Horizon and let them update and reboot
2. Make sure Hear Computer Audio in VR and Hear Audio from Computer are checked and not muted
3. Change the name of Oculus Virtual Audio Device to "Headphones"
No luck at all, could you please be so kind telling me what have I missed?
Much appreciated!

No @PiggyChu620
It shoukd also work with air link, you don't need the cable for sound.

Yeah, I tried Air Link the first thing when I got the goggle, but because I don't have an internet cable connected directly to the router (I'm using a laptop with wifi), the connection is aweful, so I have no choice but to switch to the cable connection method.

Hey, @PiggyChu620
The information @Choleni provided is correct, you are able to activate and listen to Audio via Air Link so this should not be the issue.
There are a few steps we recommend to address these audio problems:
In the task bar in the bottom-right part of your screen. Click the Speaker icon
Click the ^ arrow to open a list of audio devices connected to your computer.
Check that your audio and mic are both set to Oculus Virtual Audio Device.
In addition, if you are using any third-party VR software on your PC, make sure that Oculus Virtual Audio Device is set as your audio input and output source there as well.
We also recommend removing any third party accessories or disabling any third party audio programs as well, incase they are interfering with the connection.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if the issue persists, either on this page or through our DMs.

OK, thanks, but how about the cable connection method? Is it true that I'll get sounds only if I connect it with a USB 3 cable?

Hello again @PiggyChu620. You can use a USB connection for sound. We understand you have attempted to use Airlink previously, which is also an acceptable method. Alternatively, you can also use the headphone jack for audio.
Thank you very much for your time!

What kind of cable do you use?
You don' t need to use the expensive one from Meta.
I use this, it works fine

I think the best around me atm is USB 2, and it's still not working, and btw, I just tried to connect it with Air Link again and it's still no sound, so it's not the cable's problem, must be some settings I messed up.

Have you re-renamed the headphone - Oculus Vrtual Audio Device thing in your settings??
I remember that you said Oculus Vrtual Audio Device is now headphone in your settings.

Hey @PiggyChu620, since there is not a conversation going on in PMs, we're going to continue discussing this there. @Choleni thank you so much for all of your troubleshooting and help per usual! You're amazing!
