So at the very begining of the second mission that you can do (mission 1 of the Galleria) I teleport to the first and only place I can teleport with a hanging red plug. After that I can do nothing. Picking up the plug and trying to insert it does nothing. There is no where to teleport. I've tried shooting everything and grabbing everything. I have tried plugging the plug into everything that it can possibly reach. I don't know what is supposed to happen here as I could not find any footage on youtube of this second level of the game. I've downloaded drivers for my Nvidia Geforce 1070 and still nothing is working. I can go back to the base via the menu and retry it and it has not yet worked. Can someone at the very least tell me if the game is supposed to let me attach the red plug to the obvious spot and it just wont let me? Or maybe there is supposed to be some sort of animation that isn't triggering?
I think you just plug it into the port that is right next to it. Maybe some sort of bug. I know I had a few problems with picking up items, as the game expects you to use both fingers (index and middle) which is a bit of a departure since most Rift games use middle finger to grab only. See if that helps.
Thanks for your response Cyber! And I can pick the plug up just fine. But nothing happens when I attempt to plug it into the port... It simply clips through the port as if its any random bit of wall/decoration or whatever. I'll restart and try it once more. Now that I know what my goal is it should be faster to tell that its not working at the very least. And hopefully the devs will patch it up soon if that doesn't end up working. I appreciate it.
Solved! Okay that got it! It's possible I never tried releasing it in the right spot. I could have sworn I did that. Either I'm an idiot (which is entirely possible) or restarting worked. Thanks again.
