Issue resolved by doing the following:

Dos you get this resolved? I've had to factory reset since update 68 my mic went from clear sounding to fully muffled! Annoyed man

Hi @Deijin ,

We see you were having an issue with your Quest 3 mic after updating.

To better understand your situation, can you please let me know that you have tried this steps:

  1. Ensure the volume is not muted or turned down too low
  2. Try headphones to see if there is audio
  3. Test with multiple games/apps
  4. Reboot the headset
  5. Take out any 3rd party accessories
  6. Reset Microphone
    • Settings > System > Sound > Toggle Microphone

Will be waiting for your response.

Hi, I have just experienced the same. I had tried factory resets with no improvement. I managed to get it to work by pairing my device withe the code instead of wifi/app. Prior to this, in my Meta app, under devices, the serial number was incorrect. Once paired with the 6 digits code, the serial number was correct and allowed me to progress.

Hi currently stuck on the screen I mentioned above after factory reset so going to try what one of the users suggested

Cheers, will give it a go!

So, the device has been off for 24 hours, turned it on to run that potential.fix and wouldn't you know, didn't have! System just worked and mic is working as expected. Do feel like updates cause the mic to fail for some reason or to muffle/volume decrease
