I am writing to formally appeal the suspension of my Facebook account, which I believe was mistakenly restricted due to unauthorized actions taken by a hacker. My account was disabled due to an Instagram account that I did not add or authorize. My account was secure and protected with two-factor authentication. Despite this, a rogue Instagram profile was force-linked to my account without my knowledge, leading to the suspension.
I had already removed the unauthorized Instagram link before my account was disabled, yet the suspension still occurred. This issue has affected many Facebook users, with reports of rogue Instagram accounts being force-linked, resulting in wrongful bans.
The automated recovery options do not work because my account is fully closed. This requires a manual review by a support agent who can investigate the forced Instagram link and verify that my account was wrongfully disabled.
