I've been using a Rift CV1 for a long time now, and recently got a new laptop to run it on.
The new laptop I got is the MSI Gaming Katana GF66 11UC-011NL, which has a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050, and a Intel (R) UHD card and they are BOTH unsupported.
I did not know these graphics cards were unsupported, I only saw the graphic cards on the compatibility list.
I contacted Oculus support back in February about this and they told me that the compatibility list does update every so often.
I've also been thinking about getting a newer Quest 2 instead, I've seen some differences and pros and cons of the Quest 2 compared with the CV1 Rift and i'm not completely sure about it.
But I just wanted to ask for peoples opinion,
Should I wait for the Rift update or get a Quest 2 instead?

Quest isn't any more compatible with those graphics cards than the Rift is but at least you can use it standalone.
