Synced videos just have wifi symbol with exclamation mark

I cant view synced videos on the oculus app, i synced them to my phone and they show there but i cant actually watch them theres just this wifi symbol with a “!” I have a stable internet connection so i dont know why i cant watch them

Hey there, @Procraftbrother. We appreciate you letting us know that you are not able to see the sync media on the Oculus app. We see that you have done some troubleshooting steps already; however, can you tell us if you have uninstalled and reinstalled the Meta mobile app? If not here are the steps to do so. 

 

To uninstall the Meta Quest mobile app from your Android phone:

  1. From your phone’s home screen, go to Settings.
  2. Tap Apps.
  3. Scroll down and tap the Meta Quest app, then tap Uninstall.

To uninstall the Meta Quest mobile app from your iPhone:

  1. From your iPhone’s home screen, find the Meta Quest app.
  2. Tap and hold the Meta Quest app until it shakes and is marked with a small X in the top left corner of the app.
  3. Tap X, then tap Delete.

I done all the steps and its still not viewable, i even tried un syncing it but that did nothing, im trying to make my first ever vr video and i cant progress without that video

This bug causes me endless suffering. I’m am trying to figure out if the video is just not actually synced all the way. Also when I download the file while it’s in this weird broken state, the file comes out as an mp4. What?

  • Could you please let us know if your headset is paired to your mobile app or your computer?
  • Could you please provide a picture or screenshot of what you are seeing when you are trying to view your videos?
  • When you have your headset on to sync videos, do you have other apps on as well?

 

Please provide as much information as you can about what you are experiencing. Once we have more information, we will be able to better assist you!

I found a solution! If you see this icon, go back to your headset press share then sync. Wait until it says video sent to app than return to your gallery. This has not failed to fix the issue so far.

My issue is that anything over 10minutes in length does not even have the option to sync. I have auto synced, tried to transfer via PC, but they do not show in the folders either. I do not see why this is still an issue.
