Hello Guys,

so i got a new PC the specs: RTX 5080, Intel Core Ultra 9 2985k and 64 gb DDR5 Ram but the Oculus App is telling me "Your PC does not meet these updated minimum requirements". How is that possible?

You mention it is a new pc. Just a guess but it is possible you are currently using built in graphics rather than your RTX 5080. You would need to check for that in the Bios.

i thought the same but every other game runs just fine on ultra with 200fps but i cant even play Bonelabs its very strannge

OK - guess two. How are you trying to connect the pc to the headset - USB or wifi? perhaps there is a mismatch of standard there?

I am using the Link cable to connect

I guess we have a time difference. Bit hard to help you - if I can - and you are not overly detailed. 🙂

OK... probably not related but in a couple of days as part of the MS June update there is a fix that may help with graphics stability - also Nvidia should be bringing out a new driver. 5000 series drivers have been very buggy so far but after 6 months they are finally getting usable. The new number will be higher than 576.66. Suggest you update those as a matter of course.

As far as your Link cable - do you use a usb-c to usb-a adapter? Some adapters are not fully compatible. Sometimes they only work with the usb-c one way around/up. Have you tried another port? Have you plugged into the mobo directly rather than than a front port? Check the power setting for the port controller using the Device Manager. What I am thinking is the signal you have been getting is degraded to usb 2 level and Oculus app isn't happy but...

If any of these ideas help thats good but I'm at a bit of a loss after that. Perhaps someone else can help you in that case.

Further to my suggestions I was looking at the System Requirements page and believe it or not the RTX 5000 cards are not listed as supported (yet?) You would think 6 months after the launch they would be but it seems not... 😦 ... maybe that's the issue.. amazing if that is true. Meta are just so far behind the ball at the moment. 😲

Ya, it took a while until I didn't get that message with my +2.5yo rtx4090.

i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 64Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro, Q3, w/Link and Air Link, Vive Pro1 with 2x2.0 base stations, Etsy lens mod and Index Controllers

I see in another post that Meta are indeed coming out with RTX5000 drivers soon so SadHarold may be a little happier soon - provided he upgrades to v79 to avoid other problems 😒

@3dspace  in the meantime, they could use steamlink or virtual desktop to play PCVR titles.
