Last week my rift display stopped working, it was the proprietary HDMI cable that kept showing that it was not connected while it was. I have noticed it has become tangled and even damaged in spots, something I have read that has happened to others. I emailed support and went through all the steps to make sure it is a damaged cable, it is (sent pictures and everything). The customer rep did his part and submitted a request to I don't know who to see if they will send me a replacement HDMI cable, this was on Monday. I have not heard back since.
I don't understand what is so difficult about this. Where is this request going, what part of this is so hard? If its about money I will pay for the replacement, I need the cable. I CANNOT USE THIS $600 DEVICE I PAID FOR UNTIL I GET THIS. I cant go to a store and fix this. Its not like its a complicated hardware issue, its a replacement cable.
I've already emailed by my customer rep and he said he did all he could do. There is no way to get in touch with the super secret keepers of the oculus HDMI cables who take weeks to pass down judgement on who gets a cable and who doesn't. So I will use this as a way to vent out my frustration.
