The guardian boundary on my brother’s Quest won’t go away

Sorry if this issue has already been mentioned somewhere on the forum here —I’m not too familiar with forums and I did a search to see if anyone was talking about this but haven’t found another discussion about it, probably my own incompetence. My brother and I have been using Quest mostly to meet up in bigscreen and talk and stuff, and until today there hasn’t been a problem. Today though, he boots up and his boundary won’t go away no matter what. He tried a factory reset, and still, the same problem. The oculus seems to think his controller is closer to the boundary than it is. And even when he moves the controllers close to his chest, still the floor boundary won’t go away.

When you say "floor boundary", do you mean just the boundary outline on the floor, or the full vertical mesh of squares?
If it's just the floor outline, that might be being caused by a new (to me) setting under Settings -> See All -> Guardian -> Glanceable Boundary.  If this is turned on, then every time you glance down, that floor-level borderline appears.  It shouldn't be on by default, though.
If it's the full mesh, then all I can think is that maybe the Boundary Sensitivity is set too high.  Check Settings -> See All -> Guardian -> Boundary Sensitivity, & open the Advanced menu for it to see more options.  Again, that should not be super-sensitive by default, so I can't imagine this is what's wrong.  But it's worth a quick look.
Good luck!

If all else fails get a developer account (plenty of info on how to do that) and turn the guardian off. I use seated mode a lot and when watching movies etc I lean forward to get my drink the guardian shows which annoys me. Now I just turn it off 🙂

Having same issue. Was fine yesterday. Something wrong with the latest update?

Same thing here. Started today. The boundary is on, and no matter what I do to turn it off it stays. has to be the update. The switch to turn off and on the boundary and the wall is there and functions. But to no avail.  Standing in the middle of the space doesn't do it either. As soon as you look down ANYWHERE...its on.
