I have a similar problem. I tried all the methods, but when recording video my voice is almost inaudible.

Get this external microphone.. works great...USB a to usb c adapter is required.

I don't need advertising for third party equipment. I paid money for a product that worked properly. I live in Ukraine and there is war in our country. I can't just buy or sell equipment. It's too difficult at the moment.

Same issue here.  I have a USB-A condenser microphone and it's very sensible.  I purchased a USB-A to USB-C adapter and I was barely able to hear myself so I returned the adapter.  I then had another idea which is to leave the microphone connected to the computer and purchase a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter to connect the headset to the computer's headphone jack.  Same result.

At that point, if I disconnect the headset from the computer's headphone jack and connect my headphones, I can hear my microphone picking up birds outside my window singing 50 feet away.  The microphone is definitely not the problem.

I can assume the Quest 3 is limiting the input volume for some reason and that makes the external microphone unusable.  There is a lack of input volume controls such as a slider or a checkbox to disable the limiting (if there's such a thing)

You will take the time to create a reply saying "I fixed the problem" without telling us how?  What's the point!

Ok, so, I'll ask ... how?

i fixed it by restarting my headset after the glitch occurs
