They should have e-mailed all of us to let us know they fixed it.

They should have e-mailed all of us to let us know what was happening and when they fixed it and how to fix it. Not everyone is computer savvy or knows to look on forums. It really pisses me off the way this all went down. First they send out an broken update then we don't hear from them about it. Another thing I have to reinstall all my games again because to try to fix it I did a complete re-install. We should have the option to keep our games and save game files when doing a re-install. I just recommended the Rift to a friend who told me he'll wait because VR is too new and there will be too many problems. Boy I'm glad he didn't buy it after all.

Is it they don't want to come forth with information about this screw up because they do not want to give a credit again to everybody? I actually don't feel they are obligated to give a credit every time something like this happens. I appreciate the credit I got the first time. What they do owe us, in my opinion, when something like this happens is information as to what is going on. They are perfectly capable of sending out an email to all of us with not a lot of effort as they did the last time. I would not be having to re-install everything again because I would have known it was their problem and waited for a fix instead of thinking it was my computer and than re-installing the Oculus software, which , needlessly wipes everything.

Agreed. They are poor communicators that's for sure.

It would be really useful to the end users (paying customers) if the uninstall process included an option to back up the content. Especially when VR experiences are such storage hogs.

However, in the meantime, you can manually back up your apps. Instructions here...............

It's obvious they're trying to avoid it and sweep it under the carpet. Lost respect for Oculus now.
