Today's Tripp update on Rift store does not work properly

The Rift store version of Tripp updated today (17 Feb 2023) and it's nice to have the better menu system like the Quest store version.  Unfortunately I cannot select anything with my Quest Pro controllers.  I can hover over things but cannot select anything.  The Quest store version works fine.  I prefer using the Rift store version for better graphics.

Probably a bug that the developer needs to fix.  I have started a support ticket so hopefully this will get fixed soon.

OK, After trying this on a different PC and found it worked ok I identified the source of the problem was one of my flight sim usb flight stick controllers. Disconnecting these prior to opening up this app seems to sort this all out ok. Those flight sticks don't seem to bother any other apps.  The app still does take a long time to close/exit.

Hey there @TomCgcmfc! We completely understand how it feels to have issues with your Quest Pro controllers. First we recommend attempting to unpair and re-pair the controllers to the headset. In order to do this you can follow the steps listed here. In addition we have a couple questions we would like to ask in order to get a better understanding of your issue.

  • Is your headset connected to a PC to access the Rift store?
  • If so Are you using wired Link or AirLink to connect?

Once you try these steps and get back to us with this information we can continue to assist you. Thanks!

I’m playing this app with Air Link.  My QPro controllers work perfectly with all my Rift and Quest store apps.  The Quest store version works fine.

The problem is due to today’s Tripp Rift store update imho.  Someone at Meta should test these out prior to releasing updates.

Hey there @TomCgcmfc! It seems as though this could be an issue with an update that was pushed by the developers of Tripp. We believe this is the case due to the fact that you're not experiencing this issue with other apps. Because of this you may want to reach out to Tripp's support. Feel free to let us know if you have any more questions!

@MetaQuestSupport  I have already contacted Tripp support and they are looking into this.  Hopefully it will get fixed soon.  At least my Quest store version still works fine.
