Touch Controller Killing Life of Battery in a DAY!!

Ok my right hand Touch Controller suddenly started draining the full life out of brand new AA Alkaline batteries in less than 24 hours. Package of Batteries recently purchased and still a long way from reaching shelf life. Have replaced with Energizer as well as a couple different generic store brands i.e. Sam’s Club, Publix. Anybody have any clue why this would happen, and any way to fix or replace the controller under warranty? I have never had an electronic cause a battery to completely die in that absurd amount of time..

My apologies for the delay and yes I just took out the battery and replaced it with a brand new one when i  inserted the new one the controller lit up with a white blinking light  ..I unpaired controller and repaired without a problem ..is there amy other steps i nkw meed to take otherwise i will monitor the battery life and let you know as soon as soon as the battery life percentage dives if it continues to do so!

Hey @brotherspartacus79! We would be happy to help you with troubleshooting your right controller and provide any other information to help with this. We totally understand that both controllers working properly is very important and them not being able to have a full charge due to batteries will hinder your VR experience! We do appreciate you trying to change the batteries. Let's go ahead and try a few other basic troubleshooting steps.

  • Remove any unsupported third-party accessories that may affect power, battery fit, or controller detection (such as rechargeable grips, controller covers, etc.)
  • Change the controller battery and check the LED status (blinking, solid, or no light at all)

If a blinking or solid light appears:

  1. Unpair and pair the controller to the headset
  2. If the pairing does not work, please let us know.

If no light appears:

Let us know, so we can look into more options for you.

We hope this helps, and we look forward to assisting you further!
