I've been having this issue on both my Quest 2 and Quest 3 for a while now, but it seems to be getting worse.
What happens is that after removing my headset and putting it back on again, the touch controllers are not working properly and often the only thing that fixes it is to restart the headset.
Note that I have multiple users on my headset, so on putting it back on again the first thing I see is the "Switch User/Continue" dialog.
What happens precisely is a bit variable...
Additional notes
All this is causing a severe obstacle to my getting my work done
Is anyone else experiencing anything similar?
Any ideas what's going on?
Any ideas about other things I could try?

Hey there @RupeWard! Controller connectivity is super important for a great VR experience, so we'd love to look into this for you! It sounds like your headsets aren't immediately connecting to your headset when you're booting up. The white dot you're describing is the Gaze function of the headset, which allows you to make menu selections without your controllers, by moving your head to move the dot, and selecting using the Volume and Power buttons.
This suggests a possible issue with controller tracking and connectivity, especially if they do eventually connect again. Please check out our public resource on controller tracking issues, and let us know once you've checked all of these recommendations!

It hasn't happened for a few weeks now, and it was happening a lot last time I posted. Perhaps a system update has fixed it.
