Trying to buy Audioshield and get setup warning; free games install fine

I'm new to VR and got into Quest just because I want to play Audioshield. When I click the button to buy it in the headset-based store, I get this warning:

it looks like you haven't set up meta quest 2 or need to update your device, which you'll need for audioshield

Several online articles say I should do a factory reset when this message appears. I tried that, but the message still shows up. I was able to download and run the penguin game, so it seems this issue is just with Audioshield. I can't find any other questions on this particular issue anywhere, either on this forum or in general online search, so I guess I'm in an unusual situation.

What do you experts think? Is this a false error message that I can just ignore, or am I really going to have a problem when I try to install it? I'll add that switching to a similar game is not an option because my tastes are so weird that I must be able to import my own music or I won't enjoy the game.

Thanks,
Houyhnhnm

A computer geek advised me to ignore the error message and continue with installing the game. I took his advice and installation went smoothly. I wanted to delete this post since it was a non-issue that apparently doesn't happen to anyone else, but I don't seem to have that ability. Maybe you can do it. Thanks

Hello @Houyhnhnm! Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We'd love to do all that we can to assist you with this issue! We have a couple of questions just to provide clarity:

  1. Have you attempted the purchase on the mobile app or a browser?
  2. Have you been able to make other purchases?

We look forward to your reply!

Hey @Houyhnhnm. That's great news that you were able to find a fix for this! If you don't mind, could you elaborate on exactly what the fix was so that if anyone else comes looking into the forums for something similar, they can see this and know exactly what to do? Also, what we suggest you do instead of deleting the post is to update your post to say "Fixed." That way, people will know this was a fixed solution. We hope you enjoy your new Meta Quest 2, and if you ever need any other assistance, then please don't hesitate to reach back out to us.

The "fix" was to ignore the warning and proceed with purchase and install. I marked this as fixed. Thanks.

Thank you for letting us know and for changing your post to say fixed! @Houyhnhnm
