I would like my grandkids to use my occulus quest 2 but I want all social off. Is there any way to turn off social so that my grandkids can't turn it back it on?

I was interested in a feature like this because my granddaughter plays on my Oculus. Unfortunatly, the Oculus is considered a device for ages 13 and up so they did not set up parental controls. The only thing that is offered as far as I know and I am not an expert is that RecRoom has junior accounts that are for 12 and under and does not let the junior accounts mingle with adult accounts. There may be some controls provided by other apps and games but those would be set by the game developers. The only other option I am aware of is to cast what they are doing to your tv, computer, or oculus app on your phone so you can keep an eye on what is happening.

I would like to do this too. I don’t quite like that I have information on my account that is interesting to my daughter. I don't understand current social movements at all, I used https://paperap.com/free-papers/social-movements/ to figure it out. So far I haven't quite figured out how to do it. Maybe the admin will help to do this, I myself will definitely not think about it.
I hope you can help me with this issue)

Hey @suekohn22! We know how important it is to be able to watch over your kids and what they're able to see. We'd be glad to chime in!
We have recently added some parental control features to our headsets which would begin with the teen inviting the parent to look over the account. If you need some further information, you can look to this link for some other possibilities!

I tried to install parental controls to keep my kids out of the socials but meta responded that I can't install parental controls on my own account! What?!

Hey @revdanu! I want to assure you the main goal here is to make VR a fun and safe experience for all users. I totally understand wanting to enable parental supervision on your kids headset, and I'd love to help walk you through the process! While it's true you cannot apply the supervision to your own account, you can create a secondary account for your kids to use. For steps to set up parental supervision check out this article!
